I am Julian Thomas, the oldest of seven children. I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When I was nine months old my parents moved to Seattle, being kind enough to take me along with them. I lived in Seattle until I was 16, where upon I moved to Tracy, California, to live with my Aunt. I returned to Seattle 18 months later and graduated from Ballard High School. After high school I joined the Air Force where I maintained the Avionics on the F-15 for four years. After the Air Force I attended South Seattle Community College where I graduated with a GPA of 3.96 and a degree in Digital Electronics/Robotics.
As an MCSE I built and maintained networks consisting of computers, routers, servers running on Windows, SCO UNIX and Linux. I have worked with SCO UNIX; NT 3.51, 4.0 and 2000 server and workstation; Windows XP Pro; Windows 95, 98 and ME; Linux (RedHat, Mandrake and Caldera).
For hobbies (that which I do that does not generate significant income) I am a sound engineer (live and studio) and a Club DJ.
In June 2001, as the result of the collapse of the computer industry, I took a temporary absence from the computer career to see the country as a truck driver.
